Appearance:  Transparent liquid

General characteristic: Methyl sulphate is colorless to light brown oily liquid, with ether-like odor. Density is 1.332g/cm3. Freezing point is -27 °C. Boiling point is 188°C (decomposition). Flash point is 83.3 °C, slightly soluble in water, soluble in alcohol.

APPLICATION

Dimethyl sulpahte is an important raw material for pharmaceutical industry, the preparation of antibacterial plasticizers, antipyrine, aminopyrine, analgin, vitamin B1, Maryland, coumarin dimethyl ether, sulfuric acid guanidine, theophylline, ammonia tea alkali, caffeine, methionine. Preparation for the pesticide industry, such as pesticide acephate. Organic synthesis and industry for dimethyl sulfoxide in place of Halon as a methylation agent. In addition, wide range of spices, dyes.

 

PACKAGE

Packed in 250kg per steel drum or ISO-Tank

 

STORAGE

Keep in ventilated and dry place at low temperature. Store away from oxidant, ammonia and food additives.  

Fire extinguishing agent can use water, foam and carbon dioxide.
